What Is SEER Rating?

The higher the SEER rating, the more efficient the unit is. SEER stands for Seasonal Energy Efficiency Rating. It indicates the relative amount of energy needed to provide a specific cooling output. Many older systems have SEER ratings of 6 to 10.
