AC Units Just Right for the Warm Weather in San Antonio
Like most of Texas, San Antonio can bring the heat! In fact, we have over 220 days of sun per year and a temperature that easily hits the 90s. The AC units that we offer are all designed to perform optimally in intense weather.
Our summers are quite hot and humid, which is why we all need a reliable central air conditioning unit that can hold its own against the punishing heat. It also needs to be efficient, and that’s why every unit in our selection has a numerical SEER rating which indicates how efficient it is. A higher SEER rating means better efficiency. Newer units also tend to be more efficient than one manufactured ten years ago. After all, all new air conditioning units must have a SEER rating of 14 or higher in accordance with federal regulations.
If you buy at newACunit.com, you can also be sure that the HVAC unit you choose has a reliable and efficient heating source.

HOW BUYING A NEW AC ONLINE WORKS
Step 1
ANSWER A FEW QUESTIONS ABOUT YOUR HOME
1. Select your Home Type: Single or Multi-Family Home or Manufactured Home: A Single Family or Multi-Family Home is a permanent residence. A Manufactured Home is prefabricated housing that can be relocated after it is built on a concrete slab.
2. Choose your System Application: Split System or Package System: A Split System is made up of two units: an outside unit referred to as the condenser that you normally see on the side of your home, and an inside unit usually referred to as the air handler that is normally located in a closet or sometimes in the attic. A Packaged System contains both the condenser and the air handler in one package. These units normally sit on the roof but sometimes are located on the ground.
3. Choose your Heat Source: Electric Heat Pump or Gas Furnace. An Electric Heat Pump uses refrigerant to both cool and heat the home. A Gas Furnace burns natural gas for heat inside a furnace. If you receive a monthly gas bill, chances are you have a gas furnace.
4. Choose your System Size (Tonnage): Use the square footage estimator to choose the correct tonnage size for your AC unit. If you have multiple AC units serving your home, you can use the same square footage estimator based on how much area each unit covers.
| Square Footage | Tonnage |
|---|---|
| 500-600 sq. ft. | 1.5 Tons |
| 700-800 sq. ft. | 2 Tons |
| 900-1,000 sq. ft. | 2.5 Tons |
