Winter is coming. And no, we’re not talking Game of Thrones. Winter is literally just around the corner, which means it’s time to break out the heater, that is, if you already have one. If you’re still looking to buy a new heating system, you don’t have to look any further than NewACUnit.com. Here are some of the reasons why …

A more extensive selection of heating units and furnaces

Whatever brand of equipment you have in mind, you can be sure that NewACUnit offers some of the most reliable equipment available with the industry’s top warranties.  Whether you’re looking for a reliable brand like Rheem to value price brand units like those from Goodman, you can easily find it on NewACUnit. More affordable prices

A retailer is essentially the middleman in just about any kind of business. If you purchase a system from newACunit.com, you are essentially cutting the middleman out of the equation. That, of course, will make the cost of a new heating unit so much lower than if you buy them from a retailer at a considerable markup.

A convenient buying process

There was a time when buying an HVAC system required enormous effort and patience on your part. To get the best deal, you had to contact at least three or four contractors to get a quote, and some parts of those quotes can even get a bit suspicious.

Nothing of the sort ever happens if you go straight to newACunit.com for your new system needs. Getting all the information you need about the current new system cost would take nothing more than just dropping by the site and following the instructions to the letter.

Heat Pump vs. Furnace: Which equipment Is Ideal For You?

Choosing a heat source is a crucial part of buying a central air conditioning system. More often than not, your choices boil down to gas or electric. If you choose gas, then you want a furnace as your heating system. And while there are furnaces powered by electricity, choosing electricity as a heat source almost always means that your preferred heating system is a heat pump or a heat strip kit.

Still, even with just a few choices, people often have a tough time deciding on a heating system. Let’s take a closer look at furnaces and heat pumps and see which one would be ideal for your needs.

Forced-air gas furnace

The forced-air gas furnace is, without question, the most common heating system in North America. Over the years, the forced-air gas furnace’s design has evolved to the point that it has become quite the reliable, efficient, and quiet heating system that we know today.

A gas furnace uses natural gas or propane to generate heat that is then circulated throughout the house to keep everyone in your home warm through the coldest days of winter. The fact that it produces heat makes it ideal for areas where freezing temperatures are common.

Compared to a heat pump, a gas furnace is usually $500 to $1,000 cheaper. As long as it’s properly maintained, a gas furnace can serve you well for the better part of 20 years. It also boasts of an AFUE (Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency) rating of up to 97%, which makes it incredibly efficient.

But since it involves a standard combustion process to generate heat, a gas furnace brings with it several dangers, such as the production of deadly carbon monoxide, and explosions and fires caused by a gas leak.  Annual service inspections on a gas system are critical to avoiding potential CO poisoning as well as insuring your furnace is operating at its most efficiency.

Heat Strips

Electric Heat Strips are added on to the air handler for Straight AC units to produce heat. Unlike heat pumps, heat strips warm through the air handler producing warm air as it travels over heated coils.  These are more common in cold weather areas that are too cold to effectively use heat pumps

Heat pumps

Heat pumps are basically reversible air conditioners. When it gets too hot, you can use a heat pump to cool your home. Once the winter months set in, you can reverse the process and make it a way to keep everybody warm. And it does both by transferring heat from one point to another.  Since it does not burn any fuel, a heat pump is so much friendlier to the environment than a gas furnace. With a heat pump, there is no risk of fires and explosions, and no deadly exhaust gases are being produced.

To measure the energy efficiency of a heat pump, you need to look at its Heating Season Performance Factor or HSPF, which is the counterpart of the Seasonal Energy Efficiency Ratio (SEER) used to gauge the efficiency of air conditioners for cooling. As with SEER, the higher the HSPF rating of a unit, the more energy efficient it is. And as long as you implement the proper clearance around the outdoor unit during the installation, the air flow would be optimal and will help make the heat pump even more energy efficient.  Heat pumps are commonly used in markets that rarely hit freezing temperatures.

If gas furnaces or heat strips are ideal for frigid parts of the country, a heat pump is the better choice for those who live in places with mild to moderate winters. After all, it doesn’t generate heat it transfers heat from the air. It will have a tough time warming up a home if it has to extracts heat from the outside air where temperatures are dropping below zero.

Buy wholesale heat pumps and AC with heat strip kits

If you live in a state where the winters aren’t that cold, then a heat pump is the perfect heating unit for you. If you live in a colder climate that is subject to freezing and below winter temperatures, then electric heat strips with your air handler is the most effective way to go.  If you want to buy a heat pump or AC with heat strips at the best prices, your only choice, really, is to purchase your system at wholesale prices, which is what NewACUnit is offering, and more.

- Katherine

We had a few quotes for AC replacement and this was by far the best value. Overall the process was very smooth and everything worked out for me. There are some drawbacks to the program that I didn't personally have an issue with.

- John

I bought a Goodman 4-ton 18 SEER unit after discussing my needs for my home in El Mirage, Arizona. Smooth process and the best price anywhere. The installers, Farnsworth Heating and Plumbing did a perfect job!

- David

Excellent, quick service. Quality products. Quick service.

- Gary

"We had several quotes from other vendors that were at least twice as much as NewACunit.com. NewACUnit.com was so easy. I was so impressed at the level of professionalism and detail."

- Natalie

Was skeptical at first because this seemed to good to be true. How could I get an A/C unit so much cheaper than every other company had quoted me? After ordering my unit on Monday and having it installed the following Thursday, my nerves were quickly put to ease. Had no issues with the process and the final price came in more than $3,000 less than the next closest quote. I am a happy customer.

- Jason

"I was getting quotes upwards of $14,000. We paid newACunit.com $4,800."

- Michael

"Within 24 Hours, my unit was installed"

- Steve

I am extremely satisfied with our experience with these folks. We got a few bids from a few other AC Companies before hand. We even had old Melvin come out and his quote was twice what we paid in the end.

- Mike

"I paid $2,000.00 less and I did this in just under 20 minutes."

- Rich

I was sceptical at first because the total price of the unit (including site inspection and installation) was literally thousands less than my cheapest quote (I had a total of 3 quotes). But the process was more efficient, faster and cheaper than I thought it would be.

- B. Adams

I needed a new ac fast and this was a new option I found on the web and am very pleased. They came quick and worked all day in the heat. Very nice guys and I got a better system than other contractors were offering. I saved about 1,800 overall.
